Apple Crisp Without Oats, with a streusel topping that's easy and quick to prepare and full of flavors from brown sugar and cinnamon. It's perfect for a weeknight family dinner or a fancy dinner party.
Apples | Lemon Juice Brown Sugar | Cinnamon Cornstarch | Salt | Flour Grated Nutmeg | Butter
Peel the apples and chop into bite sized pieces. Then add them to a dish. Add lemon juice and toss to coat. Add the vanilla, cinnamon, brown sugar, and cornstarch and mix.
Stir together the flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and some salt. Mix well. Add the butter and use your hands to mix until it's a pebbly, crumbly mixture.
Sprinkle the topping over the apples in the baking dish. Be sure to move them around slightly so that some of the topping gets in-between the apples.
Bake for 45-50 minutes. Remove the dish from the oven and let rest for 15 minutes. Serve with ice cream and caramel sauce. ENJOY!
