Unsalted Butter | Whole Milk Half-and-Half | All-Purpose Flour Cooked Macaroni | Salt | Pepper Extra Sharp White Cheddar Extra Sharp Cheddar Sharp Cheddar
Melt butter and slowly whisk in flour until smooth. Then slowly add in half-and-half and milk, whisking continuously for 8-10 minutes until thickened.
Remove pot from the heat, season and add grated cheese, stirring until the cheese is completely melted and the sauce is creamy.
Mix in the cooked macaroni and slowly add in more cheese. Then pour into a prepared baking dish, top with even more cheese and bake for 30-40 minutes.
