Ingredients
4ripe avocados, regular size not the huge ones
1large garlic clove, finely minced
2tbspsfinely minced white onion
1jalapeno peppers, ribs and seeds removed, finely minced
1serrano pepper, optional--add if you like it hotter, ribs and seeds removed, finely minced
½cupchopped cilantro (or more!)
Juice from 1 lime
Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
Instructions
Peel and mash the avocado in a medium bowl. Stir in remaining ingredients. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Notes
To keep guacamole from turning brown when stored, get it as smooth as possible in the container. Then gently squeeze fresh lime juice or pour cold water over the top of the guacamole and place a sheet of plastic wrap directly on the guacamole, pressing down on all sides. Then cover container with a regular lid.
