Green Smoothie with Orange and Spinach

A green smoothie that's full of spinach and has fresh oranges, frozen mango, and ground flax seed to balance out. Tastes great!

Ingredients

  • 4-5 cups tightly packed spinach leaves
  • 1/4 cup ground flax seed
  • 2 cups frozen mango
  • 2 navel oranges peeled and cut into quarters
  • Ice
  • 1 1/2 cups cold water or liquid of your choice

Instructions

  • Place spinach in blender, topped with flax seed, frozen fruit, fresh orange, and ice. Add water or juice to blend. Blend, pulsing a bit at first until ingredients are mixed, then on high for smoothness.

Notes

You can get all the ingredients ready--including the spinach--and freeze in a ziplock bag (leaving out the water of course). When ready to make the smoothie just put the frozen ingredients into the blender with the water or other liquid and blend away.
