Ingredients
3cupscake flour, sifted
2teaspoonsbaking powder
1teaspoon baking soda
¼teaspoonsalt
2cupsgranulated sugar
12tablespoonssoftened butter, diced
⅓cupvegetable oil
4wholeeggs
2egg yolks
1cupwhole fat buttermilk
2teaspoonspure vanilla extract
1teaspoonimitation vanilla
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350.
Grease and flour 3 9-inch cake pans and then cover bottom with parchment paper. Grease and flour the parchment paper.
Place flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in bowl of stand mixer and mix on low for one minute.
Add butter and oil to the flour mixture.
Add eggs and yolks, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Add flour and milk alternately, starting and ending with flour. Stir in vanilla.
Pour into prepared cake pans and bake for 20-25 minutes, until golden brown and springy to the touch.
