Honey Cumin Okra

  • 2 cups chopped okra pods with caps removed
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
  • 3 garlic cloves, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • Dash or two of hot sauce


  • Heat olive oil on high and cook garlic just until it starts to brown.
  • Add okra, cumin, salt and pepper and stir gently until heated through.
  • Remove from heat and add honey and hot sauce, stirring to coat the okra.
  • Serve immediately.
