  • 1 12-ounce bag cranberries rinsed
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup chopped fresh pineapple
  • 3 tablespoons prepared horseradish
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • juice and zest of one orange
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground allspice
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger

  • Bring water and sugars to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally. Add cranberries, orange juice and zest, nutmeg, allspice, cloves, and ginger. Reduce heat and simmer until cranberry skins begin to pop and mixture begins to thicken, stirring frequently. Turn heat to low and add pineapple, horseradish and mustard. Simmer on low for another five minutes then remove from heat. Cool and place in refrigerator to chill. This sauce will keep for several days in the refrigerator.
