This Easter Bird's Nest Recipe is a simple no-bake treat made with melted chocolate and peanut butter, crunchy chow mein noodles, and mini Cadbury eggs.
In a large microwave safe bowl, combine 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips and 1 cup peanut butter chips. Melt in the microwave at 50% power for 1 minute. Stir and then continue melting in 30 second increments at 50% power until fully melted and smooth.
Add 4 cups chow mein noodles and stir until the noodles are fully covered by the chocolate peanut butter mixture.
Scoop one tablespoon of the noodle mixture onto the parchment paper. Immediately press in 2 mini eggs and flatten slightly to hold them.
Allow the cookies to cool and set for at least 10-15 minutes prior to eating.
Notes
If you can’t find chow mein noodles at your grocery store, straight pretzels will work just as well. If you would like a gooier treat, use cream eggs instead of mini eggs. Just be sure to remove the foil first.
