Ingredients
1Granny Smith apple, chopped but not peeled
1cupregular oats
½teaspooncinnamon
1tablespoonbrown sugar
¼teaspoonkosher salt
2cupswater
handful of chopped walnuts or pecans
Instructions
Stir together oats, cinnamon, brown sugar, salt and water in a large bowl. Add apple and mix well. Cover tightly and microwave for 4 minutes. Stir.
Cover again and microwave for 1 minute at a time, stirring after each minute. Cook for 6-8 minutes total, until most of the water is absorbed and the apples are tender.
Spoon into serving bowls and top with chopped nuts.
