Preheat the oven to 350. Line a 9x13-inch pan with parchment paper, with an inch hanging over the sides.
In a medium saucepan, melt butter and 3 cups marshmallows over medium low heat, stirring constantly.1/3 cup unsalted butter, 6 cups mini marshmallows, divided
Once butter and marshmallows are melted together add graham cracker crumbs and stir to combine.1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
Transfer graham cracker crumb mixture to the 9x13-inch pan and, using a rubber spatula, press to cover the bottom of the pan. Set aside.
Prepare the brownie mix according to the package directions.Brownie Mix, and ingredients indicated on package
Pour brownie batter over the graham cracker crust.
Bake 25 minutes, or according to package directions, until a toothpick inserted 2” from the edge comes out clean.
When the brownies are done, remove from the oven and turn on the broiler, keep the oven rack in the middle.
Top brownies with remaining 3 cups marshamllows. Return to the oven and broil for about 1 minute, until the marshmallows are golden brown.6 cups mini marshmallows, divided
Remove the brownies from the oven and top with chocolate chips.2 tablespoons chocolate chips
Notes
If you want to dig in to these while they are still warm (and you will) use a plastic knife, or a knife sprayed with cooking spray (you may need to reapply as you cut).
Watch the marshmallows closely under the broiler! They will burn quickly. They should be golden brown in about a minute. I recommend checking every 30 seconds or so until they are done.
