Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Line a 9-inch square baking pan with parchment paper. Set aside.

Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan. Top with the remaining chopped Snickers pieces.4 full-sized Snickers bars, roughly chopped, divided
Bake the brownies for 35 minutes or until the edges have set and the center is still slightly soft. Allow to cool in the pan completely before removing and slicing.
Drizzle caramel sauce over the brownies before serving.1/4 cup caramel sauce (optional)

For crinkly topped brownies, whisk the sugar and eggs into the chocolate until the sugar begins to dissolve.
The butter and sugar can be melted using the stovetop in place of using the microwave. Place the butter and sugar in a large heat safe mixing bowl. Place the mixing bowl over a saucepan of simmering water, ensuring the water does not come into contact with the base of the bowl. Stir until the butter and chocolate have melted.
Set the chocolate mixture aside to cool slightly for 5 minutes before continuing with the recipe.
The brownie batter is just combined when no streaks of white flour remain. Increase the baking time slightly for firmer brownies, and reduce the baking time slightly for fudgier brownies.
