Chocolate crinkles, chocolate snowflakes…these cookies have multiple names. Whatever you call them, they are one of my favorite cookies. Of course, I say that about all the cookies, but these little delights of chocolate…yum.
All-Purpose Flour | Cocoa Powder Baking Powder | Baking Soda Dark Brown Sugar | Eggs Vanilla | Bittersweet Chocolate Butter | Sugar | Powdered Sugar
Whisk flour, cocoa, baking powder, soda, and salt. In another bowl, whisk brown sugar and eggs, then add vanilla.
Melt chocolate and butter and whisk into the egg mixture. Fold in the flour and refrigerate for 2-3 hours. At this point your dough will look like brownie batter.
Scoop out dough and roll into a ball. Gently roll in granulated sugar, then place it in the powdered sugar and gently roll to coat well.
Bake for about 12 minutes. The cookies will flatten and the crackles will be shiny and almost appear undercooked.
Fun and Festive!
