Overnight Breakfast Casserole

This easy recipe features sausage & egg, with lots of cheese! It's easy & the perfect make ahead breakfast!

Prep Time: 20 Min

– 10 slices white bread – 1 lb. meat – cooked ground sausage or cooked and crumbled bacon – 2 cups grated sharp cheddar cheese – 10 eggs – 2 cups half-and-half – 1 tsp dry mustard – Couple of dashes of Worcestershire (optional) – Couple of dashes of hot sauce (optional) – 1 tsp salt – tsp pepper – 2 tbsp butter, cut into small pieces

Prepare dish & bread

Lightly spray a 13x9-inch glass baking dish. Remove crusts from bread and cut or tear bread into cubes.  Place bread in prepared dish.

Spread meat & cheese

Top with meat and cheese

Prepare egg mixture

Prepare egg mixture. Whisk together eggs, half and half, and seasonings Add a dash of Worcestershire and a dash of hot sauce.

Pour the eggs over the cheese & dot the top with butter.  Cover the dish & place in refrigerator overnight.

Add the egg mixture

Remove the dish from the refrigerator at least 30 mins before baking so it comes to room temperature.  Bake the casserole for about 50 mins.

Bake the breakfast casserole

Remove from oven and let it cool for a few minutes before you cut into it. Enjoy the delicious breakfast casserole!
