As one of the founders of RealBloggers.org, Lucy Brewer is committed to producing authentic, original content. Our recipes have been developed, tested, and photographed by humans.
We eat what we cook and publish what we eat. We are proud of our unique position in preserving authentic Southern recipes, like Granny’s Fried Apple Pies.
Our promise:
- Recipes published on Southern Food and Fun have been developed, tested, eaten, and photographed by humans.
- We may use guest writers from time to time.
- We may publish syndicated content from other sites. This will never include recipes created by AI.
- If we share an affiliate link, it’s for a product we believe in and use ourselves.
Artificial intelligence (AI) policies
- We do not use AI to develop or photograph recipes.
- We may use AI to generate content ideas.
- We may use AI to help with outlines and some writing.
- We may use AI to write pin descriptions and/or social media posts.
Comment policies
We welcome your feedback on our recipes and appreciate your kind and respectful comments. While 5-star ratings are greatly appreciated, not everyone has a 5-star experience, and that feedback is also greatly appreciated.
With that said, there are a few guidelines from this Southern Mama regarding comments on this blog:
- No profanity or abusive language
- No rudeness toward other commenters
- Helpful tips for other readers are welcome
We reserve the right to remove or refrain from publishing any comments that do not provide anything helpful for other readers.
For example, “This recipe is terrible” is not helpful.
However, the statement, “I tried this recipe and found that it was too salty. I made it again and reduced the salt to 1 teaspoon, which was much better,” is helpful.
A comment listing more than three recipe changes is also not helpful. If you’re making that many changes to a published recipe, you should probably start your own blog.
