You can smell these Hawaiian Roll Breakfast Sliders before you even open the oven — warm rolls, smoky bacon, and garlicky butter. The eggs stay soft and creamy, the cheese melts all through, and the sauce soaks into the bread and makes the edges crisp. Every bite has that sweet-and-savory thing that makes you want another piece right away.
These breakfast sliders may be my new favorite breakfast. And they’re easy to make and versatile. You can substitute sausage for the bacon, or even omit the meat altogether.

- While I love the garlicky butter flavor on these sliders, my grandkids did not. We tested with plain melted butter and kids liked it much better.
- We used King’s Hawaiian rolls for this recipe.

- ½ teaspoon dried onion flakes
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- ½ tablespoon poppy seeds
- ½ tablespoon sesame seeds
- parsley (optional garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and lightly grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Prepare the 12 Hawaiian rolls by slicing them in half horizontally. (see notes) Place the bottom half of the rolls in the baking dish.

- Melt 13 tablespoons unsalted butter, divided in a skillet over medium-low heat.
- Pour the eggs in the pan, and use a spatula to move the eggs around (scramble) while they cook. Stir them continuously, until they are mostly cooked. Remove from heat.

Storage
Store any leftover breakfast sliders in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days.
We like Hawaiian rolls for almost all sliders, as evidenced by this breakfast slider recipe. You could also use brioche rolls. Something soft with a hint of sweetness usually works best.
These sliders are best when served immediately, so the eggs don’t overcook. But if you really need to make them in advance, store the assembled sliders in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Reheat them, covered, in the oven at a low temperature or use a microwave until warmed through.
Another option is to assemble the sliders without the butter sauce and store them in an airtight container in the fridge. When you’re ready to serve them, prepare the sauce, pour it on top, and then proceed as directed in the instructions.
