Brie Fondue with Figs and Honey

Ingredients
- 8 ounce wheel of Brie
- ½ cup pecans, whole or chopped
- 6 fresh figs, sliced into quarters
- ¼ cup honey
- baguette slices and crackers, for serving
- fresh herbs, to decorate
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350oF.
- Unwrap the Brie and place it in an ovenproof dish.

- Scatter the pecans on top and around the Brie.

- Arrange the fig slices on top and around the Brie.

- Drizzle with honey.
- Cover loosely with foil and bake for 20 minutes.
- Serve the Brie straight from the oven while it’s still melted with slices of baguette and crackers.

Notes
- This recipe is simple to adapt depending on how many people you want to serve. Use a larger 16 ounce wheel of Brie to feed a crowd. Aim for at least 2 ounces of cheese per person.
- You do not need to cut the rind from the Brie however, if you want to remove it you can so so and achieve a similar result.
- For convenience, we recommend you bake your Brie in the baking dish you intend to serve it in. A deep dish slightly bigger than the Brie itself is the most suitable and means you can fit extra pecans and figs around the edges of the Brie.
- We baked the Brie for 20 minutes which turns it into a quick and easy fondue and completely melts it. If you want the Brie to retain its shape reduce the baking time by 10 minutes.
- The pecans add some nice texture and lovely crunch to this appetizer. You can use any nuts you like. Walnuts and pistachios also work well.
- Serve with baguette slices and your favorite crackers. Turn the Brie Fondue into a visually appealing platter by adding fruit like grapes and fresh green herbs such as rosemary and thyme.
