Thanksgiving Day at our house starts early: turkey in the oven, somebody hunting for the good carving knife, and grandkids asking when they can have pie. The recipes here are the same ones I put on my own Southern table for Thanksgiving dinner — roast turkey (sometimes a ham, too), traditional Thanksgiving side dishes like Sweet Potato Casserole and Southern Green Beans, and all the little extras that make the meal feel special.
